I hope you're all having a great Summer.
I'm home safely after the most incredible journey with Mellon Educate in South Africa. The whole experience of working with these amazing children, teachers and families in Khayelitsha was eye opening, inspiring and both heart breaking and heart warming at the same time. Something that will never leave me is the hope in the eyes of these children in Ummagaliso PS. Although I was there to teach them, they taught me so much about life; how to be resilient, grateful, generous and above all to have the willingness to strive for the best in life, no matter what the circumstances. These teachers and children welcomed us with open arms and huge hearts, they are in awe of the fact that people in Ireland love them enough to help them achieve the best possible outcome in their difficult lives.
Thanks so much to each of you who have donated and supported me on my journey to get to Africa, you are changing these deserving children's lives. ❤
